When You Arrive
Find Parking
We're located at 1114 6th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90403, just off California Avenue. Street parking is available - be mindful of posted signs. Parking is typically easier during the day.
Call or Text Upon Arrival
When you arrive, call or text (310) 310-2192 for instructions to our unit. We'll guide you to the right location and ensure you find us easily.
Complete Intake Form
You'll fill out a brief health history form. This helps us understand any health concerns, injuries, or areas you'd like us to focus on or avoid.
Consultation with Your Therapist
Your licensed massage therapist will review your intake form, discuss your goals, and answer any questions. Let them know your preferred pressure level and any problem areas.
During Your Massage
What to Expect
Privacy: Your therapist will leave the room while you undress to your comfort level and lie on the massage table under the provided sheet.
Draping: You'll remain properly covered throughout the session. Only the area being massaged will be exposed, and you control your comfort level.
Communication: Always speak up about pressure (too light, too firm), temperature, or any discomfort. Your therapist wants you to have the best experience.
Relaxation: Feel free to close your eyes, breathe deeply, and let yourself fully relax. Some people drift off to sleep - that's perfectly normal!
It's OK To...
- • Ask for more or less pressure
- • Request adjustments to room temperature
- • Ask your therapist to skip certain areas
- • Request to focus on problem areas
- • Fall asleep (it happens!)
- • Talk or stay quiet - your choice
Pressure Levels
- Light: Gentle, soothing strokes for relaxation
- Medium: Comfortable pressure, our most common request
- Firm: Deep tissue work for chronic tension
- Custom: Different pressure for different areas
After Your Massage
Immediate Aftercare
- •Take your time getting up: Sit up slowly and give yourself a moment before standing
- •Drink water: Massage releases toxins; hydration helps flush them out
- •Light activity: Gentle stretching or a short walk can help extend the benefits
Next 24-48 Hours
- •Continue drinking plenty of water
- •Some muscle soreness is normal (similar to post-workout)
- •Avoid strenuous exercise immediately after
- •Notice how your body feels - improved sleep and reduced stress are common
Tipping Etiquette
Tipping is appreciated but never required. Standard gratuity is 15-20% for excellent service, typically given in cash directly to your therapist.
Common First-Timer Questions
What should I wear to my massage?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You'll undress to your comfort level before the massage. Most clients undress completely or leave undergarments on - whatever makes you comfortable. You'll be properly draped throughout.
Will I be covered during the massage?
Yes, absolutely. Professional draping techniques ensure you're always covered except for the specific area being massaged. Your privacy and comfort are our top priorities.
Should I talk during my massage?
It's completely up to you! Some people prefer quiet relaxation, while others like to chat. Feel free to communicate about pressure, temperature, or any discomfort. Otherwise, relax however feels natural.
